Manchester Open Awards 2024: He Brings It Home
The recently concluded Manchester Open Awards 2024 showcased outstanding talents across five primary award categories. However, it is the People’s Choice category that truly stands out. Unlike other categories judged by panels, this award was determined by the votes of attendees, adding a unique and democratic dimension to the event. Among the winners, Nigerian painter Titus Agbara, a semi-finalist of the Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2016, emerged victorious in this category, making his win all the more special.
The Manchester Open Awards serves as a platform for a diverse range of artworks, including paintings, prints, photography, sculpture, ceramics, digital and mixed media, video, and audio. Organized by HOME (@home_mcr) and hosted by Castlefield Gallery (@castlefieldgall) in Manchester, United Kingdom, this event celebrates creativity in its many forms.
Winners of the People’s Choice award, along with those in other categories, received artist development packages managed by Castlefield Gallery and HOME.
